Abu Dabbab Beach Snorkeling Day Trip from Hurghada

Abu Dabbab Beach is one of the Red Sea’s most remarkable marine destinations, best known for being a natural habitat of the endangered dugong (sea cow). This rare marine mammal, along with frequent sightings of sea turtles and vibrant coral reef life, makes the bay a unique snorkeling hotspot in Egypt.

Embark on a shared full-day snorkeling excursion from Hurghada and enjoy a scenic drive through the Eastern Desert’s dramatic landscapes as you head toward the protected bay of Abu Dabbab.

Upon arrival, you’ll step into a shallow, sandy lagoon with crystal-clear waters perfect for all experience levels. Spend your day snorkeling alongside green sea turtles, exploring seagrass beds, and admiring colorful coral reefs teeming with marine life. While dugong sightings are rare and never guaranteed, Abu Dabbab remains one of the few places in the Red Sea where they may still be observed in their natural environment.

Between snorkeling sessions, relax on the soft sandy beach, soak up the sun, or unwind under a shaded umbrella. A freshly prepared beachside lunch is typically included, allowing you to enjoy a comfortable break before returning to the water or simply resting by the shore.

This Abu Dabbab day trip combines adventure, relaxation, and natural beauty, making it one of the most memorable snorkeling experiences along Egypt’s Red Sea coast.

🚐 How long is the transfer from Hurghada?

  • Around 3 to 4 hours each way

No. Most wildlife is very close to shore, often just a few meters from the beach.

🌊 Is it better than Giftun Islands or Orange Bay?

Depends on what you want:
