Petra is commonly referred to as the eighth wonder of the world. This city is a remarkable archaeological site, a testament to the ancient Nabataean civilization, and a unique example of rock-cut architecture.
Our journey begins with a transfer from Nuweiba to Aqaba by means of a comfortable bus, followed by a ferry ride. Subsequently, we will travel to Petra by bus, approximately a three-hour journey, where we will commence our two- to three-hour guided tour.
Upon arrival at the site, we will visit the monumental Great Treasury, also known as Al-Khazneh Farun, a structure approximately 42 meters in height and 30 meters in width, carved directly into the rock face. The itinerary includes exploration of the Roman theater, the tombs of the Nabataean kings, and numerous other ancient monuments and obelisks. We will then proceed to the Roman-Byzantine colonnade before heading to the city center where we will enjoy a scheduled lunch. After the meal, we will ascend Mount Al-Khabis, which features a Crusader fortress at its summit, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including deep ravines and vibrant rock formations. The day will conclude with a dinner at a five-star restaurant, followed by a return trip to Aqaba. Upon arrival, guests will have an hour for independent shopping before returning to their accommodations.

It is a secondary fortress, designed and sited to control the strategic communication route within the Petra basin that was not in sight of Al-Wu’eira Fortress.
- Back to Sharm El Sheikh By the end of the day By, you’ll drive back to Aqaba port to sail by ferry back to Taba and then drive back to your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh.
